EarlyEdge is a service of EarlyEdge LLC, which is responsible for the data described here. This is the short, honest version of what EarlyEdge does with your data. We collect the minimum we need to write you a resume, charge you $9.99 or $19.99 depending on which option you pick, and email you a receipt. We don't sell anything to anyone. If something here is unclear, email help@earlyedgehs.com.

1. What we collect

When you use the builder, you give us:

We don't ask for your street address, date of birth, or government IDs.

Analytics. We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people actually use. It sets a cookie so repeat visits can be told apart from new ones, and it records things like the page you're viewing, where you arrived from, your browser and device type, and an approximate (city-level) location derived from your IP address. It does not receive your name, your email, or anything you type into the builder. If you're visiting from Europe (the EU, the EEA, or the UK), Google Analytics is switched off entirely and no analytics cookie is set at all. Those rules require asking permission before setting one, and we would rather simply not track you than put a consent banner in your way. We also keep a simple first-party counter of our own that records nothing but a daily tally of page views, builder starts, checkouts, and purchases, with no cookies and no IP addresses.

We don't run ad pixels, we don't set marketing cookies, and we don't sell or share any of this for advertising. Stripe's checkout page sets its own cookies that are necessary for payment to work. That's between you and Stripe. If you'd rather not be counted at all, open any page on this site with ?notrack=1 on the end of the address (for example earlyedgehs.com/?notrack=1) and that browser stops counting for both, Google Analytics included. It sticks until you clear your browser storage, ?notrack=0 turns it back on, and the site works exactly the same either way. Browser-level tracking protection or the Google Analytics opt-out add-on will also block it.

2. How we use it

That's it. We don't email you newsletters, we don't add you to a mailing list, and we don't share anything you submit with anyone outside of Stripe and Anthropic for the purposes above. Google Analytics only ever sees anonymous browsing activity, never your form content.

3. Where it's stored

Your form input and the generated resume are stored in Netlify Blobs, the storage service attached to our hosting provider. Blobs are accessible only to our backend functions and are not exposed to the public internet.

4. How long we keep it

We keep your form input and generated resume for 30 days, then a scheduled job permanently deletes them. Short-lived "in progress" records (used while the resume is being generated) are deleted within 24 hours. After that window, we no longer have a copy of what you submitted or what we generated. Stripe keeps its own records of the payment for as long as it needs to under financial-services law. That's outside our control.

The 30 days above covers the data you hand us. Google Analytics keeps its own anonymous usage data on Google's servers, separately from us and under the retention period set on our Analytics property. None of it carries your name, your email, or anything you typed into the builder.

If you'd like us to delete your data sooner, email help@earlyedgehs.com with the email address you used at checkout and we'll remove your records.

5. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask us:

Email help@earlyedgehs.com from the address you used at checkout and we'll handle it. Because we don't keep accounts, your email is the only way we can find your records. One honest limit: the analytics described in section 1 are anonymous, with no name or email attached, so there is no way for us to find "your" analytics data or to single it out for deletion. If you don't want to be counted, the ?notrack=1 opt-out above is the way to do it.

6. Children

EarlyEdge is intended for people building resumes for jobs, college, or scholarships, which means many of our users are teens. We don't knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you're under 13, please don't submit your information without a parent or guardian helping you. If you're a parent and you believe your child under 13 used the site, email us and we'll delete the records.

7. Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Card data is handled entirely by Stripe, which is PCI-DSS Level 1 certified. The backend functions and blob storage are hosted on Netlify. No system is perfectly secure, but we keep our footprint small on purpose: less data collected means less data at risk.

8. International users

EarlyEdge is operated from the United States. If you use the site from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S. and in the regions our service providers (Stripe, Anthropic, Netlify, Google) operate in.

9. Changes to this policy

If we change anything material, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top. If a change meaningfully affects how we handle your data, we'll do our best to flag it on the site.

10. Contact
